| The Picnic: |
|
| It was great to see everyone who came for the picnic,
including the kids. The grownups chatted while the children played games and a good
time was had by all. In case you want to have a future event at the picnic location:

| The Banquet: |
|
| Contrary to rumor, the choice of this location was NOT due to
a plot by the single alumni (as far as we know). The Bridal Center was owned and
operated by one of our own, Joan Lougheed Campbell. She longer operates the
business. But their facilities and catering services were just the thing to
make our evening especially enjoyable, and her offer to provide catering and the place was
too good to pass up. Tony Pharr and Lisa Williams Geren (our very own radio personality
classmate) did a commendable job of hosting the banquet and resisting the temptation to
say things like "OH, my LORD, what HAPPENED to you people?!" Several
classmates got to share talents (Becky Chase Jenkins sang, Mark Hall sang and did a
revealing comedic slideshow, having shamelessly lifted the concept from Conan O'Brien--see
"If They Had Wed", Lisa sang) and there
were jokes, barbs, awards for hair loss, etc. and then lots of sweaty dancing and general
merriment. |
